Cate Kulo
Host of Rhumba Fix, weekdays 10 PM to 1 AM
Cate Kulo hosts Rhumba Fix, Radio 47's late-night rhumba show, on weekdays from 10 PM to 1 AM. The station calls her the "Queen of Rhumba, Mwasi wa Ingo", a title it says she earned by pushing the boundaries of what could be said and done in the genre.
The show mixes the greatest rhumba music with adult talk for after hours. Its regular segments are Elengi ya Rhumba, which explains the music, and Kina cha Mahaba, on adult relationships. Radio 47's own posts promote the show with Cate Kulo alongside DJ Mess.
Nation Africa named her among the performers at the Premier Ladies Rhumba Fest in Nairobi in April 2025 and wrote that she has gained popularity through the Rhumba Fix show she hosts on Radio 47. Her name is also spelt Cate Kullo.
